Responsibilities
Oversees a team of 6 staff-senior accountants
Responsible for review and approval of journal entries, account reconciliation, day-to-day accounting, and all supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP
Identifies and takes initiative for implementing process improvements and creating efficiencies while ensuring proper internal controls are in place
Be a strategic leader in the development of a top-class financial accounting organization that supports the overall long-term growth strategy for revenue streams and customer collections
Main contact for audit - support the external audit with all areas pertaining to revenue
Work with cross functional teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of all underlying data
Ad-hoc projects and assignments
Qualification
Required
Excellent communication, professionalism, and presentation
4+ years supervisory or managerial experience
Extensive experience in a fast paced, complex work environment- ideally at a multi-location, large company (annual revenue exceeding $750M)
Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and proven ability to think strategically and produce accurate, timely deliverables
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Extensive experience with large ERP system
Strong attention to detail
Preferred
CPA not required but is highly preferred
