Woodward, Inc. is an independent designer, manufacturer, and service provider of control solutions for the aerospace and energy markets. They are seeking a motivated engineering intern to gain hands-on experience in design, analysis, testing, and manufacturing of fuel nozzles for gas turbine engines while contributing to impactful projects.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and optimization of fuel nozzles and related components using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX)

Support thermal, fluid, and structural analyses of components using simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, CFD software) to ensure performance and reliability

Collaborate with manufacturing teams to produce prototypes, including preparing drawings, specifications, and work instructions

Assist in testing fuel nozzles, including preparing test setups, collecting data, and analyzing results to validate performance and compliance with specifications

Work on process optimization projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, or improve product quality

Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation related to design, testing, and analysis

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to support ongoing projects and meet deadlines

Required

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Competent skills in problem solving and trouble-shooting

Competent in the use of PCs, MS Office Programs and other associated software

Solid knowledge of the English language with the ability to speak, read and write along with good listening skills

Good marks in relevant subjects

Possess high motivation, flexibility and ability to work on his/her own

Must be at least a Sophomore in an accredited College or University program and have an acceptable grade point average
