Underwrite and build a profitable small commercial GL & Property portfolio
Serve as lead underwriter and technical resource
Mentor and develop underwriters as the team is built
Hire and lead a small commercial underwriting team
Strengthen broker and agent relationships
Maintain underwriting discipline while supporting growth
Partner with leadership on strategy, distribution, and staffing
Qualification
Required
7–15+ years of small commercial underwriting experience
Strong GL and Property underwriting foundation
Experience mentoring, training, or acting as a lead underwriter
Desire to move into people management
Entrepreneurial mindset with disciplined underwriting approach
Comfortable building a book and then building a team
