Responsibilities

Apply previous experience in research to help measure and improve quantum computers using trapped ions as qubits

You will work alongside teams of scientists to bring new concepts to life

You will be responsible for working in a research environment to collect data on system performance, characterizing device characteristics, and propose methods for improvements

Currently enrolled in a PhD program

Graduating on/after December 2026

Preferred

2+ years' experience (PhD inclusive) involving one or more of the following areas: atomic physics, quantum benchmarking, quantum information, quantum computing

Experience performing simulation and modeling to inform experiments

Experience with constructing quantum circuits

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with published results within their field of research
