Plastics Engineer
medmix is a global leader in high-precision delivery devices, operating in the healthcare, consumer, and industrial end-markets. The Plastics Engineer will be responsible for coordinating molding efforts on new program launches, designing and implementing injection molding processes, and continuously improving manufacturing methods and processes.
Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating the molding efforts on new program launches
Design and implement injection molding processes for new and existing products, including establishing robust and repeatable process parameters
Develop and implement scientific-based processes and generate documentation and controls to ensure efficient and optimal run consistency
Continuously improve manufacturing methods and processes, utilizing techniques like Design of Experiments (DOEs), lean manufacturing principles, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Analyzing manufacturing data, cycle times and production efficiency, and identify and resolve production issues and defects using root cause analysis
Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Ensure conformance to specifications and compliance
Qualification
Required
5 years in an injection molding manufacturing environment
Responsible for coordinating the molding efforts on new program launches
Design and implement injection molding processes for new and existing products, including establishing robust and repeatable process parameters
Develop and implement scientific-based processes and generate documentation and controls to ensure efficient and optimal run consistency
