Responsibilities
Design and develop robust, scalable APIs using Apigee (Edge or X)
Implement API proxies, policies, flows, and shared flows
Build RESTful APIs and integrate backend services
Develop API specifications using OpenAPI/Swagger standards
Configure and manage API products, developer apps, rate limiting, quotas, security policies, and traffic management
Implement API analytics, monitoring, and logging
Manage API lifecycle including versioning, deprecation, and governance
Implement OAuth 2.0, JWT, API key management, and other authentication/authorization mechanisms
Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards, data protection policies, and best practices
Work with backend systems (SOAP/REST, microservices, databases, cloud services)
Analyze production issues, review logs, and perform root-cause analysis
Optimize API performance and ensure high availability and reliability
Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, and project managers
Prepare technical documentation, design documents, and solution diagrams
Provide guidance, best practices, and support to internal teams and API consumers
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related fields
7+ years of hands-on experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X
Strong proficiency in API proxy development, policies, flows, and shared flows
Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, HTTP, and API best practices
Experience with security protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, TLS
Good knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or Java for API scripting
Experience using OpenAPI/Swagger for API design
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, but AWS/Azure acceptable)
Experience with Apigee hybrids setups
Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture
Familiarity with API monetization and developer portal customization
Background in integration platforms (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, WSO2, etc.)
Must have experience in Apigee Production Support in a complex multi-application environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication & documentation skills
Problem solving skills
Team Player & ability to work in a multitenant Agile environment
Ability to collaborate independently with healthcare professionals to support production operations and develop solution
Self Starter
Preferred
Healthcare Industry experience preferred
Certification in Apigee or Google Cloud Platform is a plus
