Middle Georgia Community Action Agency is seeking a Human Resource Specialist II to assist with the administration of the Human Resource department's daily operations. The role involves maintaining applicant files, supporting new employee orientation, and providing administrative support to HR staff.

Responsibilities

Maintain applicant files on database
Data Entry and Employee file maintenance – to include insurance/medical files
Issue recruitment advertisements
Assist with new employee orientation
Provides administrative support to HR Staff
Front-end customer service to employees
Complete and mail written correspondence

Required

Be a US citizen; have a Permanent Resident Card, or an alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Have at least one-year of experience in personnel related or administrative position
Have and maintain a clean driving record (NOT TO EXCEED 6 PTS)
Have and maintain a criminal history absent of convictions for violent crimes or for any crime against children
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; have the ability to learn new software/database programs
Knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and computer skills
Computer proficiency in Word documents and spreadsheets
Proficient in payroll module of the agency financial software
Knowledgeable in state and federal employment laws
Knowledge of agency Personnel Policies and Procedures
Must uphold agency personnel policies and financial procedures
