Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quotes and cost estimates for custom industrial machinery
Perform application and sizing calculations (horsepower, torque, speeds, throughput, material thickness, loads, etc.)
Review and interpret customer specifications, drawings, and processing requirements
Work closely with engineering to confirm scope, feasibility, and technical assumptions
Support outside sales with pricing updates, technical clarification, and proposal revisions
Maintain organized quote documentation and revision history
Participate in internal project handoffs once equipment is released for execution
Qualification
Required
Strong mechanical aptitude with comfort performing technical calculations
Experience in manufacturing, capital equipment, metal processing, or heavy industrial environments
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Proficiency with Excel for calculations, cost models, and sizing tools
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred
Experience estimating or quoting custom industrial equipment
Familiarity with motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, or automation systems
Exposure to coil processing, material handling, slitting, CTL, or similar machinery
