Lead Product Manager – Data and Data Analytics

Responsibilities
Inputs to product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product or enabling platform
Implements the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation, while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, meeting customer needs and product profitability
Controls for the customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and as an input to decision making
Monitors metrics that inform the success of products including usability studies, research and market analysis
Manages one or more workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making
Monitors product profitability measures, including budget
Participates in operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews. Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed
Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers
Define and drive the next generation data platform required to support the growing needs of PayPal
Own the investment and roadmap for the data platform to meet the needs of our AI Decisioning stack
Build the platform with product development and architecture
Maintain and support the platform, ensuring definition and ongoing monitoring of Platform KPIs
Be in our users’ shoes and gain a deep understanding of customer experiences and preferences and funnel the requirements to build a scalable infrastructure
Create use cases and product requirement documents to articulate desired service features and functionality to the user experience and technology teams for both tactical project delivery and long-term strategic direction of the platform
Understand integration needs (internal systems and external); assimilate and synthesize the needs of various stakeholders into a common set of platform capabilities
Assess buy vs. build and work with 3rd parties to integrate platform capabilities on a case-by-case basis
Lead by influence, with strong execution skills and focus
Lead project teams of engineers and designers to ensure that the product platform delivers to requirements and meets business needs
Collaborate across business and technical areas to manage all aspects of the platform
Present business cases, product roadmaps, and strategies to key stakeholders and executives
Qualification
Required
5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience
8+ years of industry experience, with 6+ years of technical Product Management
3+ years working on Data, Databases and/or Data Analytics
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Computer Science
Preferred
Experience in Feature Engineering, Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), AI infrastructure, and/or decisioning systems
Experience in building core, risk or compliance platforms
Skill sets: analytical, problem solver, strategic planning, leadership, project management and execution, communication with diverse audiences and stakeholders, (written, verbal, and oral)
