Associate General Counsel
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join their dynamic team. The role involves conducting legal research, providing legal advice, and handling investigations related to employment law and nondiscrimination policies.

Responsibilities
Conduct human resources and employee relations investigations, and investigations related to federal and state nondiscrimination and equal opportunity laws, including the Department's nondiscrimination policies
Conduct complex legal research, writing, and analysis, and provide legal advice including reasonable accommodation matters
Handle the Department's privacy and data practices activities related to employment law
Providing legal advice to senior management or executives
Responding to charges from the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR) and the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
Qualification
Required
Three (3) years of legal experience as a practicing attorney
Experiences must include: Conducting employment investigations, handling U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and/or the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR) matters, and providing legal advice to senior management and/or executives
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Minnesota and current with continuing legal education requirements
