Mid, Senior LevelNextGen, a Kelly Telecom Company, is seeking a highly skilled Platform Migration Engineer to lead large-scale hypervisor and virtualization platform migrations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing migrations away from legacy platforms while ensuring stability and minimal business disruption.

Responsibilities
Lead and execute end-to-end platform and hypervisor migration initiatives, including assessment, planning, design, and cutover
Drive migrations from legacy virtualization environments (e.g., VMware) to alternative platforms within compressed timelines
Perform hands-on technical work across infrastructure, virtualization, and platform layers
Partner with vendors, internal engineering teams, and stakeholders to manage vendor-driven change
Identify and mitigate migration risks, dependencies, and operational impacts
Provide technical leadership and confidence during complex migration efforts
Ensure continuity of service and operational stability throughout transition periods
Document migration strategies, runbooks, and post-migration validation results
Qualification
Required
Proven hands-on experience with platform or hypervisor migrations (mandatory)
Strong technical depth in virtualization and infrastructure platforms
Demonstrated ability to lead complex migrations under accelerated or fixed deadlines
High technical confidence and decision-making ability in ambiguous or changing environments
Experience working with vendor-driven technology shifts and licensing changes
Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills during live migration events
Preferred
Migration experience involving VMware exits or major virtualization platform transitions
Exposure to alternative hypervisors or modern infrastructure platforms
Experience supporting business-critical environments during transformation initiatives
