Community Marketing Manager
Ascent Studio is seeking a creative and strategic marketing professional to develop and execute marketing strategies to grow the business and enhance member engagement. The Community Marketing Manager will be responsible for digital marketing, community engagement, and event planning, ensuring that Ascent Studio connects effectively with its community.

Responsibilities
Design promotional graphics for email campaigns, social media, events, programs, and in-facility signage
Photography and videography, as well as collaborating with other photographers and videographers for major events
Maintain engaging internal signage and digital displays
The ideal candidate is also excited to occasionally create illustrations for retail apparel, leagues, and competitions. May also work with other creative staff members to produce these pieces
Create and distribute monthly email newsletter
Build targeted and segmented email campaigns to promote youth programs, adult programs, events, camps, youth teams, and membership sales
Maintain email list segmentation, scheduling, and performance tracking
Oversee and grow Ascent’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) by creating content that builds community engagement
Maintain a regular pace of social media activity
Use tools like Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite to track performance and optimize marketing efforts
Establish a review and approval process for marketing communications, ensuring alignment with Ascent’s brand standards

Update website (WordPress) content – ensuring it is fresh, relevant, and aligned with business goals
Coordinate with other managers for website updates
Support external partnerships and community promotions
Ensure that Ascent Studio is participating in local community events to broaden our brand awareness (e.g. Bike to Work Day, Open Streets, Food Truck Rally, etc)
Respond to community requests (from schools, non-profits, etc) for fund-raising donations and consider ways to make those donations effective marketing tools
Plan and oversee multiple events throughout the year, including leagues, competitions, member appreciation nights, and other community engagement events
Manage part-time event staff and volunteers for the smooth running of our events
Report to the leadership team about marketing engagement metrics
Actively participate in management meetings to ensure marketing efforts align with the broader goals of the organization
Qualification
Required
Strong graphic design and digital content skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Excellent writing and communication skills
Strong organization, time management, and independence
Creative mindset with attention to detail
Preferred
3 years of experience in marketing, focusing on digital marketing, content strategy, or brand management
An avid rock climber that currently and actively climbs, with at least two years of climbing experience, deeply connected to the climbing community and culture
Experienced in managing paid ads (Meta Ads, Google Ads) and analyzing performance data
Knowledgeable in SEO, web analytics, and optimizing content for engagement and conversion
Comfortable managing websites via WordPress or similar CMS platforms
Proficient with social media management tools and email marketing platforms
A skilled writer who can create compelling social media posts, email campaigns, and website copy
Proven success in driving growth through strategic marketing campaigns
