Mid LevelLanceSoft Inc. is seeking a Transmissions Design Engineer to be responsible for the design, development, and support of aircraft system solutions. The role involves working with various mechanical components and collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure successful design outcomes.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, development and support of elegant and safe aircraft system solutions that exceed customer expectations for mission success
Work with gears, bearings, seals, housings, lubrication systems, and drive shafts within the drive system
Utilize traditional manufacturing methods such as machining, castings, and forgings as well as advanced technologies in additive manufacturing
Preparing drawing revisions and Engineering Change Orders
Prepare Engineering Instructions and specification revisions
Creating conceptual layouts
Performing preliminary component sizing
Completing detail design tolerancing/stack-ups
Interact with Analysts, Material and Process Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Test Engineers, and suppliers to drive designs to closure
Qualification
Required
Experience in component design and manufacturing
Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving
Understanding of loading and dynamics in mechanical assemblies
Highly competitive and motivated to take ownership of commitments and meet objectives
Capable of managing complex tasks and driving them to successful outcomes
Excellent communication and technical writing skills
