Stormwater Conveyance Technician II

Responsibilities
Performs stormwater system inspections and repairs, including inspecting storm drain structures, piping, and ditches; installing drainage pipes; repairing storm drains, catch basins, and pipes; digging and backfill trenches; And retrofitting catch basin lids
Assists with the repairs of catch basins, outfalls, junction boxes, yard inlets, detention ponds, illicit discharges, and other stormwater systems of frequent interest to ensure that all aspects of the systems function correctly
Helps train SCT I on all facets of stormwater conveyance
Transports equipment to and from the job; maintains tools and equipment used in work assignments; and maintains inventories and supplies
Performs routine maintenance and repair of stormwater utility vehicles and equipment
Operates various equipment related to the maintenance or repair of a stormwater system, for example, pipe saw, chain saw, and air hammer
Operates various equipment such as Sewer Vac Truck, Street Sweeper, and Dump Trucks
Prepares written documentation of work performed and material used
Performs other duties as assigned or requested by supervisors
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
One to two years of experience
Medial knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in the stormwater system's maintenance and repair
Physical strength and endurance to perform manual labor for extended periods, possibly under adverse weather or working conditions
Valid Georgia Driver's License with a Class 'B' CDL and a clean driving record
