Responsibilities
Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries
Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, inventory, receivables, and payables
Maintain accurate vehicle inventory records, including new, used, and in-transit vehicles
Reconcile floor plan statements and ensure proper recording of interest and principal
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
Process and reconcile manufacturer statements, incentives, and rebates
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
Assist with audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements
Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
Collaborate with dealership management to support financial analysis and reporting
Maintain accurate records in dealership management systems (DMS)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP principles
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred
automotive or dealership experience preferred
Experience with dealership accounting systems (e.g., CDK, and Dealertrack) preferred
Experience with floor plan financing and vehicle inventory accounting
Heavy knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations
Knowledge of manufacturer reporting requirements
Prior experience in a multi-location dealership or automotive group
