Responsibilities

Investigate known and/or suspected security events and related documentation

Identify security risks and improve mitigation controls aligning with ISO 27001 standard

Assist in response preparation for external security questionnaires

Function as a security technical advisor for Firm IT initiatives

Serve as project lead on select security projects

Author content for general security awareness training

Participate in IT privacy and compliance efforts

Refine security incident detection practices

Evaluate and recommend emerging security products and technologies

Identify, investigate and resolve security issues

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or a minimum of three to five years of direct experience in lieu of degree

The ability to prioritize their work, work calmly under (perhaps) stressful conditions

Verbal communication over telephone and the ability to work through others in a remote location are important

Prior experience in SIEM, alerting, incident detection and response preferred

Experience with compliance standards and security best practices (ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST, DISA, STIGs and/or PCI) a plus
