The successful candidate will develop construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards, while performing engineering calculations and preparing necessary documentation.

Responsibilities
Design and construction work package development of electrical overhead and underground distribution systems (operating from 12kV through 35kV), mostly associated with programmatic work such as overloaded transformers, joint use, voltage conversions and line upgrades associated with resiliency and reliability upgrades
Comply with quality control and safe work practices and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule and budget
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ years prior relevant experience
Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with projects in distribution design: voltage conversion projects, distribution automation projects
Experience with development of civil & electrical packages associated with complex cable/conduit in dense urban environments
Willingness to perform both field and office work
Preferred
BS Degree in Engineering Technology, Geography, Environmental Science, Cartography, and less than 2 years of relevant experience OR AA Degree with 2+ years of experience preferred
Experience with DDS (Distribution Design Studio), SAP, Microstation, ESRI, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PLS-CADD, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus
