The Teller I, Bilingual role involves performing transactional duties to serve members, providing cash receipt and payment services, and explaining credit union products and services while ensuring a positive representation of the credit union.

Financial Services

Responsibilities

Provides friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and other related services to members resulting in a balanced cash drawer daily
Cross-sells other member services
Processes mail deposits and withdrawals
May assist in balancing the ATM (if not performed by an outside source)
May train to perform open/closing duties (with manager on site)
May train to verify checks for other tellers
May train to perform overrides
May be cross trained to help in other positions within the branch
May be required to attend training at headquarters or an off-site location
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High School diploma or equivalent
Being bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish, is required
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must possess problem solving skills
Must possess organizational skills
Must have the ability to work independently and within deadlines
Must have experience or be able to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job
Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position
Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related State and federal laws and regulations
Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Preferred

Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service
