Responsibilities

Performs thorough inspection of components and railcars

Documents and reports conditions and product identified as conforming and nonconforming

Maintains current knowledge of government, industry (Federal Railroad Administration & The Association of American Railroads), customer, and company policies, procedures, and work instructions

Participates in nonconforming and noncompliance investigations, root-cause analysis, and the development of corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Qualification

Required

Proficient reviewing and interpreting drawings, instructions, standards, and specifications

Ability to drive results through information and team performance

Preferred

5 years of railcar maintenance/manufacturing experience

Extensive knowledge of requirements of the American Association of Railroads (AAR), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), industry and customer requirements

NDT Level II in VT, MT, PT, UT, LT, IR; AWS CWI

Proficient in computer software applications, including Microsoft Suite of applications - Word, Excel, Outlook, and Dynamics, as well as quality and production applications such as Visio, Kaleris, and Intelex
