DevOps Engineer
vRad is a remote-first organization seeking a DevOps Engineer to enhance their internal platform infrastructure. The role focuses on Kubernetes cluster management and requires strong software engineering skills to improve developer experience and system reliability through automation and tooling.

Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, monitoring
Support our Artificial Intelligence teams in managing GPU-accelerated inference and training environments in Kubernetes
Implement platform observability and reliability using monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
Design performance-oriented infrastructure patterns and database integration approaches
Participate in on-call rotations to resolve critical infrastructure issues
Develop internal tools and services to streamline platform operations
Build and maintain infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Bash, and PowerShell
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using Azure DevOps
Collaborate with software engineers to integrate platform capabilities into applications
Write production-quality code with testing, documentation, and code review practices
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
Qualification
Required
2+ years experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering roles
Strong programming skills in an object-oriented language (C# preferred)
Experience with Kubernetes (preferred in on-premise environments)
Experience with Linux/UNIX environments
Experience with CI/CD pipeline development workflows
Proficiency in using Git repositories and version control best practices
Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
Scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash)
YAML-based CI/CD pipeline development
Azure DevOps platform and toolchain
Nvidia GPU management in Kubernetes environments
Microsoft SQL
HTML, JavaScript and/or TypeScript
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with ability to work independently on defined projects
Experience maintaining highly available production systems
Demonstrated ability to own and deliver medium-sized technical projects
Collaborative mindset for cross-functional team environments
Comfortable participating in code reviews and technical design discussions
Preferred
Experience with Azure cloud services, architecture, and deployment patterns
Azure Kubernetes Service management
Azure Arc for hybrid cloud management
Virtualization technologies (vSphere or similar)
Web server technologies (IIS or similar)
