Responsibilities
Assist with supporting workpapers for federal, state, and local income tax returns and quarterly estimated payments
Perform tax research for federal, state and local issues
Preparation of account reconciliations and/or journal entries for tax related general ledger accounts
Support tax controversy by preparing comprehensive responses to requests and serving as a point of contact for federal and state tax authorities regarding notices and audits
Utilize technology tools to automate data collection and improve the efficiency of tax reporting workflows
Manage tax depreciation for Federal and State jurisdictions, including performing detailed rollforwards, and calculating adjustments for tax provision and returns
Assist with ad hoc tax projects and planning initiatives as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years tax or accounting experience in public accounting or equivalent experience in a corporate tax department
Proficient in Excel, Word and online research software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented, analytical and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
CPA preferred
