Responsibilities

Lead 5G RF optimization and performance engineering for 4G LTE, 5G NSA, and 5G SA networks, driving improvements in accessibility, retainability, mobility, and throughput at site and cluster level
Perform OSS KPI monitoring and root-cause analysis, identifying worst offenders and implementing corrective actions through parameter tuning, feature optimization, and network configuration changes
Execute ENDC optimization, ensuring LTE anchor stability, efficient NR secondary cell addition, improved NR utilization, and resolution of ENDC drops and mobility failures
Conduct drive-test and Layer-3 log analysis using tools such as TEMS, Actix, Nemo, and XCAP to troubleshoot issues related to throughput, latency, interference, mobility, and call drops
Optimize 5G NSA networks by tuning LTE and NR parameters including handover thresholds, power control, carrier aggregation, beam management, BWPs, and load balancing features
Lead 5G SA optimization, focusing on end-to-end performance including registration success, PDU session setup, latency, throughput, VoNR, standalone mobility, and QoS flows in coordination with Core and Transport teams
Support NR site integration, new site builds (NSB), spectrum expansions, and carrier additions, including SSV, SSD, COP preparation, and commercial launch readiness
Perform interference and coverage optimization, addressing issues such as PIM, overshooting, cell overlap, poor SINR, and footprint imbalance through parameter tuning and validated antenna or tilt adjustments
Collaborate cross-functionally with Core (AMF/SMF/UPF), Transport, Field, and RF Design teams to resolve signaling, user-plane, and mobility issues across multi-vendor environments
Provide technical leadership and documentation, contributing to optimization strategies, feature trials, KPI reporting, and mentoring of junior engineers to ensure consistent execution quality
