Temerity Strategic Partners is seeking an Investment Analyst or Senior Analyst to join its Investments Group in Chicago. The role offers hands-on exposure across the full real estate private equity investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, underwriting, execution, and ongoing asset and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

Screen, evaluate, and underwrite new equity investment opportunities across development, value-add, and core-plus strategies

Build and maintain Excel-based financial models, including asset-level cash flows, sensitivity analyses, and distribution waterfalls

Conduct market, asset, and operating partner diligence

Prepare investment committee memoranda and presentation materials

Support all phases of transaction execution, from initial underwriting through closing

Assist with deal structuring, financing analysis, and coordination with legal, lending, and operating partners

Assist with ongoing asset and portfolio management initiatives

Support quarterly valuation processes and investor reporting

Analyze operating performance and help drive value creation initiatives post-close

Required

2–5 years of experience in investment banking, real estate private equity, real estate investment, development, brokerage, or a related role

Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including asset-level real estate models and fund waterfalls

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in small, fast-paced teams

Strong academic performance from a top-tier undergraduate institution

Preferred

Senior Analyst title consideration for candidates with additional experience and demonstrated transaction exposure
