Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of 2+ data scientists, providing technical guidance, clear priorities, and day-to-day execution support

Partner with Data Science Product Managers, Engineering, and Product, and Business leadership to shape and deliver data science initiatives aligned with broader organizational strategy

Translate ambiguous business and partner problems into well-scoped data science and AI solutions

Contribute hands-on to the design, development, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning and generative AI systems

Own technical decision-making for your team, including model approaches, tooling, observability, evaluation strategies, and operational best practices

Drive a culture of experimentation, measurement, and iteration by defining success metrics and tracking impact over time

Represent data science in cross-functional and customer-facing discussions

Required

Bachelors Degree's + 8 years of experience OR Master's Degree + 6 years of experience OR PhD + 4 years of experience

A proven track record delivering production data science solutions using machine learning and/or generative AI

Experience working with LLM-based systems, including familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK or similar orchestration tools

Solid understanding of the ML lifecycle and MLOps concepts, including deployment, monitoring, and iteration in production environments (e.g., experiment tracking, feature or prompt versioning, CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring, and tools such as LangSmith, MLflow, or similar platforms)

Strong business acumen and a genuine interest for real-world business and partner problems, with the ability to translate open-ended needs into concrete, actionable data science initiatives while maintaining a clear line of sight from technical decisions to customer and business outcomes

Comfort operating close to end delivery, balancing technical depth with clear communication and an understanding of how data science solutions fit into the broader product, operational, and business context

Prior experience leading or mentoring data scientists, with an interest in growing others while remaining technically engaged

Contributing to applied ML solutions that drive customer acquisition, retention, and operational effectiveness, leveraging techniques such as recommendation systems, LLM-driven personalization, and supervised models of customer behavior
