They are seeking a qualified Tissue Culture Lab Technician responsible for cutting plant material and meeting production, quality, and contamination standards in a safe and efficient manner.
Farming
Responsibilities
Conducts general TC lab processes such as micropropagation, evaluations, initiations, etc. according to established protocols while meeting productivity, contamination, and quality standards
Always maintain a clean and safe workplace (workstation, Transfer Room, Culture Room, Lab) in accordance with established protocols, policies, and direction from the TC Supervisor
Records data of all activities (time, # of containers used/made, # plants planted) and observations in proper logs
Immediately reports any issue related with plants (i.e., morphology, contaminants, numbers, etc.) directly to TC leadership team
Stocks the Transfer Room with supplies as needed or directed, such as Kimwipes, alcohol, gloves, facemasks, etc. and updates inventory sheet
May assist with other lab processes and operations
Qualification
Required
Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions, directions, and protocols in English or Spanish
Requires a high attention to detail and the ability to observe small deviations
Requires the ability to be highly organized in handling materials, equipment, and supplies
Strong collaborative skills, including the ability to develop positive relationships and maintain a positive attitude while working in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Regular and reliable attendance at the primary place of business
Ability to meet physical demands of the position
Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company values, and a commitment to personal and professional development
Preferred
Highschool Diploma or GED or 1-year related working experience
