Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for:
Web applications (SaaS platforms, internal tools, portals)
APIs and system integrations
Data platforms and data pipelines
AI/GenAI-enabled features (LLMs, copilots, chatbots, prompt flows)
Build and maintain automated test suites including:
Functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and basic non-functional tests
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) with clear quality gates
Define and manage test data strategies, environments, mocks, stubs, and dependency simulations
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure features are testable by design and defects are detected early
Pilot and drive adoption of AI-powered testing tools for:
Test case and scenario generation
Test data generation (tabular, JSON, text, prompts)
Log analysis, defect triage, and impact analysis
AI copilots to support exploratory testing
Collaborate with Data & AI teams to develop reusable AI-enabled QA accelerators
Ensure adherence to responsible AI practices, including governance, privacy, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop controls
Lead and mentor a small QA team (automation and manual testers)
Oversee QA planning, code reviews, automation standards, and best practices
Define and track QA metrics such as:
Automation coverage
Defect leakage
Build stability and quality trends
Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and Tech Leads to define:
Test strategy
Scope
Effort estimations for sprints and releases
Contribute to client discussions, proposals, and solutioning related to automation and AI-augmented QA
Qualification
Required
6–10 years of experience in software testing, including:
4+ years of hands-on automation experience
2+ years in a senior or lead role
Strong programming skills in Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
Hands-on experience with at least one UI automation framework: Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
Solid experience in API testing (Postman/Newman, REST Assured, etc.)
Proven experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines
Experience testing at least two of the following: Web applications, Data platforms or data pipelines, AI / GenAI-enabled features (or strong interest and learning mindset), Complex system integrations (microservices, third-party APIs)
Ability to work in a hybrid model from Pune, with overlap with US teams until 10:30–11:00 PM IST
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
Experience with data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or cloud data warehouses
Exposure to testing AI/ML models, LLM-based applications, or prompt-driven workflows
Performance testing experience using JMeter, k6, or Locust
Domain experience in Energy & Utilities or Retail Energy
Prior experience in IT services or consulting environments
