Arcadia Care is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide nursing and personal care to residents in their Assisted Living facility. The role involves ensuring the health and safety of residents while performing various care tasks under the supervision of the Wellness Director.

Responsibilities

Carry out assignments for resident/tenant care including (but not limited to): bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, restorative nursing procedures, and retraining

Report and record any changes in resident/tenant conditions and needs, i.e., eating habits, behavior, temperature, etc

Be responsible for the well-being and nursing care of all residents/tenants assigned while on duty

Keep residents’/tenants’ bed, dresser, bathroom, and general living area clean and tidy

Assure that work/assignment areas are clean and free of hazardous conditions, i.e. spills, excess laundry carts, baskets, supplies, etc. and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored while working, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, mealtimes, and end of the workday

Maintain the confidentiality of resident/tenant information and honor his/her personal and property rights

Perform tasks as assigned in individual Service Plans

Follow facility policies and procedures

Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Required

Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age

Must be able to work independently

Must be free from communicable diseases/Tuberculosis

Must have proof of Certification of Pulmonary Resuscitation or be willing to obtain prior to working independently in the facility

Must demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action

Must demonstrate the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public

Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel

Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of resident care areas and equipment for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties
