Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
Core6 Talent is a technology-driven, innovation-first organization that seeks a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager. This role involves owning the core financial engine of the business, leading budgeting and forecasting, and partnering with leadership to drive data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities
Own, maintain, and continuously improve the three-statement corporate financial model
Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning
Forecast short- and medium-term cash position and liquidity needs
Deliver variance analysis, performance lookbacks, and scenario modeling with clear business implications
Maintain debt covenant calculations and supporting schedules
Partner closely with leadership to support data-driven decision making
Develop financial models for strategic initiatives, capital investments, and M&A evaluations
Lead results discussions with senior leadership, confidently and clearly
Ask the 'right' questions and help leadership understand the “why” behind the numbers
Willingness to respectfully challenge assumptions when the data supports it
Play a key role in the company’s data transformation initiative
Evaluate and help implement FP&A and reporting tools (forecasting platforms, dashboards, data repositories)
Improve transparency, repeatability, and scalability across FP&A processes
Identify ambiguous problems and independently source solutions
Mentor and develop the current financial analyst
Help shape the future structure of the finance team as the business scales
Remain hands-on while gradually taking on broader leadership responsibilities
Qualification
Required
5–7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience
Non-negotiable: Strong three-statement financial modeling experience (built from scratch, not just updated)
Background in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment banking (banking experience preferred but not required)
Advanced Excel modeling skills
Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus
Experience working in lean, fast-moving, or growth-oriented environments
Ability to present complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance leaders
