Zero Gravity Marketing is seeking a Content Strategist Contractor to take full ownership of internal marketing content creation for both ZGM and Cake. This role focuses on planning and producing SEO-informed blog content, drafting email copy, and developing monthly content plans while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a strategic content cadence.

Responsibilities

Write monthly blogs for ZGM and Cake across key verticals
Develop monthly SEO-informed blog topic recommendations for approval
Create blog briefs and outlines based on keyword research
Update and optimize existing content for performance
Create quarterly case studies for both brands
Build and maintain a monthly editorial/content calendar
Ensure content aligns with brand positioning, voice, and ICPs
Provide monthly email copy for ZGM and Cake (newsletters, updates, and campaign messages)
Draft copy for additional email needs as they arise
Ensure email messaging aligns with broader content themes and SEO strategy
Conduct keyword research to guide content strategy
Optimize all written content for on-page SEO (metadata, headers, internal links, schema basics)
Identify and refresh high-performing or outdated blogs
Monitor competitive content trends and recommend topics based on search intent
Support website content optimization as needed
Provide written copy for social posts tied to blogs, campaigns, or brand themes
Partner with the design contractor to request and coordinate creative assets
Work with paid media and SEO teams for messaging alignment
Provide monthly summaries of completed work and content performance
Manage deadlines and deliverables in Asana

Required

3+ years experience in content marketing, content strategy, or SEO writing
Strong writing portfolio showcasing blogs, long-form content, and email copy
Working knowledge of SEO best practices
