Start in 2026 SummerAudacy, Inc. is a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company, offering an exciting internship opportunity at WTIC NewsTalk 1080. As a Summer Intern, you will assist with programming, content creation, and social media execution while gaining hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of talk radio.
Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and organizational management tasks around programming, content and creative for our morning show, Brian & Company. Tasks include:
Assist with social media executing; including producing original content for social media
Work with the producer to research/write sports reports
Greet in studio guests upon arrival
Contribute/Research story/guest ideas
Attend weekly editorial meeting; Tuesdays 9:30am
Contribute occasionally on the air
There will be some introduction to running a radio board
Qualification
Required
Energetic and confident with the ability to think and learn on-the-spot
Strong organization skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects at one time
A motivated self-starter and collaborative worker
Must be a strong communicator with strong writing ability
Skilled with a high degree of time management and organizational skills
Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and stress
Social Media savvy
Solution-based thinking and problem solving
Preferred
Strong interest in the news industry and knowledge of FCC guidelines
