Responsibilities

Involved in admission process of new residents by verifying payer source and resident insurance
Enter and maintain account data on the accounting computer system
Knowle of each account’s status and take action on any items that have not been paid
Perform month end closing procedures
Maintains routine billing processes
Manage billing, accounts receivable (A/R), and accounts payable (A/P) processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
Oversee Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and managed care billing and reimbursement
Maintain resident trust accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations
Work closely with the admissions team on financial eligibility verification and payment arrangements
Monitor and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding financial operations in long-term care
Serve as a liaison between families, residents, and third-party payers for financial matters
Assist in the preparation of the facility’s budget and financial planning
Coordinate month-end closing and financial reporting with corporate office
Other duties as assigned

Required

Experience working as a Business Office Manager in a Long-term Care and/or Skilled Nursing environment
Strong leadership skills
Attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
