Controls Technician

KKR Consulting is seeking a Controls Technician to support and maintain automated manufacturing equipment in a GMP-regulated pharma/biotech facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement for control systems and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair PLC/HMI/SCADA-controlled equipment and automated systems
Support maintenance of instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, valves, motors, VFDs)
Perform calibration checks , loop checks, and basic electrical troubleshooting
Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities
Document work performed in CMMS and follow GMP documentation practices
Support validation activities (IQ/OQ support) and deviation investigations as needed
Ensure compliance with safety standards and site SOPs

PLC/HMI/SCADA troubleshootingGMP knowledgeAllen-Bradley/Siemens PLCsElectrical maintenanceWork overtime

Required

Associate degree or technical diploma in Automation, Electrical, Controls, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley / Siemens PLCs and industrial troubleshooting
Understanding of GMP, controlled environments, and change control practices
Ability to work overtime/weekends when required

Preferred

2+ years experience in controls/electrical maintenance (pharma/biotech preferred)
