Start in 2026 SummerCentral Garden & Pet is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the development of smart-enabled pet monitoring systems. This internship offers hands-on experience with product development and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Support one smart pet monitoring system development project
Create and modify CAD models, assemblies, and drawings using ProEngineer Creo
Support mechanical design of enclosures, housings, and mounts
Collaborate with electrical and firmware teams on sensor integration
Assist with prototyping and form, fit, and function testing
Develop a standardized R&D project archiving framework for legacy and future projects
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as a Sophomore or Junior in Mechanical Engineering or related field
CAD proficiency
Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred
SolidWorks proficiency
