Responsibilities

The key functions of the Energy Marshall | LOTO Manager is a significant part of the construction and commissioning efforts, ensuring focus and compliance for all types of energy isolation
Oversee all aspects of a complex electrical structures and construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
Establish and manages an Energy and Isolation Program that will be implemented throughout the project
Participate in High Risk Activity (HRA) planning meetings associated with Energy Isolation
Ensures approval process for proposed Energy Isolation procedures is in place
Ensures all SoW's, MOPS, and Scripts are reviewed and all sources of energy are established
Determine if a group or individual LOTO will be required
Serves as an independent authority for stopping all unsafe work practices regarding Energy Isolation
Attend safety department and management meetings, training workshops, and daily activity briefings

Required

5+ years of solid Safety Management in Electrical Construction and MEP required or 10+ years working as a Master Electrician Supervisor on complex projects
Advanced working knowledge of SPS-101 Energy Isolation guidelines
Must have experience working a data center build, or similar environment
Extensive experience in contractor communications, and liaising with design teams, and other project professionals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer skills

Prior Data Center Industry Experience Is Required
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to read blueprints/specifications and effectively use the following computer programs within a reasonable amount of time: Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Outlook & Word
Excellent technical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and make sound engineering judgments
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and adherence to project deadlines
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including project teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
Proficiency in using software applications for design, analysis, and documentation (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks)
Ability to work independently and in a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, working knowledge of iPad type instruments and various M/E industry 'Apps'
Know electrical systems basics and have a good working knowledge of NEC
Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ladders, crouch, kneel, and stand for long periods of time. Must also be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Must be able to utilize close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus
Requires regular use of hands for inspection purposes
Must have a solid understanding of jobsite risks and know/adhere to appropriate safety protocol at all times
Must be able to work on multiple projects at one time

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in a safety related field preferred
Master Electrician with a solid safety background is highly preferred
Journeyman or master electrician preferred
