Samtec is seeking an Electrical Engineering, Signal Integrity focused co-op who will work with various managers and areas within the signal integrity group to gain exposure to high speed interconnect design.

Responsibilities
The co-op will work with various managers and areas within our signal integrity group in order to gain exposure to the different aspects of high speed interconnect design
The position will be responsible for completing assigned projects, building trust within team members, maintaining customer focus, as well as initiating and following up on actions taken
The Student Will Be Exposed To And Expected To Learn The Basics In The Many Different Signal Integrity Design Practices Used At SAMTEC
These May Include But Are Not Limited To The Following
3D Electromagnetic modeling
High Speed Interconnect analysis of printed circuit boards, packages, and connectors
Interconnect measurements using a Vector Network Analyzer and Time Domain Reflectometry
Understand Interconnect analysis methods and metrics used in Standards bodies
Scripting to assist in the post process analysis data
Qualification
Required
Junior or Senior level student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Have taken or plan to take courses in Electromagnetics, Microwave Engineering and Digital Signal Processing
Understand basic Wave Propagation, Transmission Line Theory, and Scattering Parameters
Familiar with high speed interconnect modeling tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS HFSS, Key Sight ADS
Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
Preferred
Students planning to pursue a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
