Responsibilities
Direct supervision, project oversight and mentoring of Designers, Engineers and Team Leads
Oversees the teams developing project engineering, design and construction deliverables including plan and profile sheets, staking sheets, bills of materials, stringing charts, pole loading drawings, framing drawings, and other construction drawings
Creates engineering and design project guidelines and criteria
Provides quality assurance and quality checks for project engineering deliverables developed internally or by third parties
Provides construction support including responding to project RFI's throughout the project life cycle
Regularly interfaces with the client to ensure projects are completed to the client’s satisfaction, on time and under budget
Develops proposals for new projects
Hires new team members
Forms and leads new teams for new projects, programs, clients, etc
Qualification
Required
8+ years of transmission and/or distribution line design experience
Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, AutoCAD, and MFAD/Foundation Analysis and Design (FAD) Tools
Ability to prioritize work, manage tasks for multiple projects under budget, and time constraints
High level of personal initiative and the ability to interact with personnel, clients, and contractors
Ability to manage direct reports and lead a large team of engineers and designers
