Responsibilities
Champion employee support through onboarding, benefits guidance, payroll, and workplace policies
Promote a safe, respectful environment by ensuring compliance with labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, Title VII)
Build strong union relationships, lead negotiations, and resolve concerns collaboratively
Drive smooth onboarding and conduct fair, timely investigations when needed
Oversee payroll accuracy, HR records, workers’ comp, and leave programs with care and precision
Contribute to recruitment, workforce planning, and performance reviews to strengthen our team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
5–10 years HR experience, including 5+ in leadership roles
Deep knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and safety practices
Exceptional communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset
Union experience in negotiations and contract administration
Preferred
PHR/SPHR preferred
PHR and/or SPHR certification from SHRM or a college plus demonstrated years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
