Principal Sales Engineer
InnoForge is an early-stage, venture-backed aerospace disruptor providing an end-to-end Comms-as-a-Service platform. They are seeking a Principal Sales Engineer to own the technical relationship with the Commercial & Federal divisions, bridging the gap between RF engineering and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead "whiteboard" sessions with customer engineering teams to solve complex link budget, data throughput, and interference challenges
Take over high-level technical discovery and proposal development, allowing the founding team to focus on scaling operations
Sell a unified solution that spans multi-band software-defined radios (SDRs), ground segment integration, and automated data-scheduling software
Feed real-world mission requirements back to internal FPGA, DSP, and RF teams to drive the next generation of anti-jamming and auto-switching capabilities
Qualification
Required
Previous experience working alongside satellite bus manufacturers, commercial space startups and defense primes
Be the Technical Authority: Lead 'whiteboard' sessions with customer engineering teams to solve complex link budget, data throughput, and interference challenges
Scale the Sales Cycle: Take over high-level technical discovery and proposal development
Full-Stack Comms: Sell a unified solution that spans multi-band software-defined radios (SDRs), ground segment integration, and automated data-scheduling software
Influence the Roadmap: Feed real-world mission requirements back to internal FPGA, DSP, and RF teams
Technical Foundations: Expertise in at least two of the following: RF System Design, FPGA development, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), or Ground Segment Architecture
Industry Experience: Deep familiarity with the Space/Aerospace sector, including knowledge of smallsat architectures, orbital mechanics, or tactical communication links
Communication Style: Ability to translate high-level mission goals into low-level technical specifications
Adaptability: Experience with (or a strong desire to master) Software-Defined Radios (SDRs) and the shift toward software-configurable hardware
