Responsibilities
Coordinate, coach, and guide production line workers to maintain workflow and maximum productivity
Work alongside the team, stepping in to perform production duties as needed
Enforce all safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), SQF (Safe Quality Food) policies, and PPE/hygiene standards
Track line count, update production numbers in the computer system, and report any defective materials or questionable conditions
Train new employees on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coach the team on company policies
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must possess basic mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions) for line count and production updates
Must be able to use a computer for data entry and updating production numbers
Must be willing and able to work the entire scheduled shift, including required overtime
Demonstrated ability to provide guidance, coordinate work, resolve problems, and foster team cooperation
Proven ability to maintain momentum and keep employees on task to meet goals and deadlines
Expresses ideas and thoughts clearly, with tact and diplomacy
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach, and lift for a minimum of 10 to 12 hours
Must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (with or without assistance)
The role is in a loud manufacturing and assembly environment, with regular exposure to cool and/or cold temperatures (10º - 40ºF), fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts
