Responsibilities

The Pantex Modernization Director for National Nuclear Security Administration Prodcution Modernization (NA-19) scope in the Program Integration Division, represents program and project authority and accountability within Pantex (PXD) and is the key interface among internal and external stakeholders. The NA-19 scope includes a portfolio of programs, which includes: Pit Production, Capabilities Based Investments (CBI), High Explosives and Energetics ( HE&E) and Warhead Assembly Mondernization (WAM)
The Director's primary duty is the scope, schedule and cost performance, and risk management for the NA-19 portfolio, and will be required to exercise discretion and independent judgment denoted as follows: having the authority to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement management policies or operating practices; carrying out major assignments related to the operation of the Company’s business; work that affects business operations of the Company to a major degree, and having the authority to commit the Company in matters having significant financial impact
Independent judgment and discretion involves the comparison and evaluation of possible courses of conduct and having the authority to make an independent choice, free from immediate direction with respect to matters of significance
The Production Modernization Director will be responsible for shaping the NA-19 modernization scope at the site in a way that meets the needs of all internal and external stakeholder and is responsible for staffing, coordinating, facilitating, overseeing, and reporting on the activities of program personnel, effectively interfacing with internal and external customers and representing Pantex in meetings and negotiations

Required

Bachelor's degree: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience. Minimum 3 years of supervisory/ management experience
OR Applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 20 years of completed education and/or relevant experience
Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status
The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP)
If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709

U.S. citizenship is a requirement for security clearance applicants
