Controls Propulsion System Engineer

Responsibilities
Support global planning, execution, and coordination of Controls & Software platforms for propulsion-related ECUs (Engines, Transmissions, Hybrid, Battery, Charging, eMotor)
Provide feasibility studies and cost assessments for Controls & Software for vehicle programs
Represent Controls Systems (Controllers & Software) as the primary interface within the Propulsion System community
Coordinate the development of control features across teams
Define and manage feature rollout plans aligned with program milestones
Lead Controls & Software change management, and support quality assessments and risk mitigation activities
Work with the powertrain team to ensure calibrations for vehicle builds are on time with acceptable quality
Establish timing plan and track timing execution of project
Run weekly project management coordination team meetings
Work with client cross functional teams to ensure release content plans to prioritize functional features roll out, issue resolution, change requests and on time deliverables
Coordinate quality gate reviews and ensuring they are scheduled for all programs as needed
Coordinate and help the team prepare for periodic program reviews with the Senior Management
Co-ordinate with Supplier, keep track of development deliverables and verification & Validation schedule
Active involvement in preparing the program artifacts using customer specific tools
Qualification
Required
Proven experience working with complex, multidisciplinary systems
Ability to work independently, show initiative, and deliver high quality technical solutions
Strong problem solving skills and capability to work effectively within cross functional teams
Ability to work in an Agile development environment
Proactive mindset with strong ownership, accountability, and leadership across technical topics
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related field
Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in the automotive industry
