Research Administrator I - Sub Award Management

Responsibilities
Contribute to the subrecipient risk assessment process by evaluating and determining subrecipient organizational, financial, and compliance risk; recommend risk level and outline special terms & conditions as needed
Establish and maintain subaward encumbrances in the University financial system
Ensure compliance with federal regulations on transparency by submitting monthly Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) reports
Facilitate subaward monitoring efforts and perform desk reviews; oversee assigned subaward compliance reviews
Monitor federal and state updates as they apply to subawards and recommend subaward policy updates and process efficiencies based on changing requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience OR combination of education and experience to equal five years
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel training
Ability to identify problems, evaluate options and implement solutions
Ability to communicate effectively in writing for the needs of the audience
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Preferred
Business-related degree, CPA or candidate, CRA/CFRA/CPRA or candidate
Experience in research administration (including Federal regulations and institutional policy)
Experience working in TTU specific systems (Banner, FiTS, TechBuy, BRS, Cognos, etc.)
