Responsibilities

Admit patients and process their paperwork
Update patient demographics/information in system
Collect monies due and document in the billing system
Handle funds per office procedure
Answer incoming phone calls in a professional and friendly manner
Manage Medical Records
Receive, sort and distribute mail
Maintain a clean and safe front desk and lobby area

Qualification

Medical office experienceTyping skills (45 wpm)Medical terminologyOffice equipment operationMultitasking abilityCommunication skillsProblem-solving skillsRelationship building

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Experience working in a medical office
Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties
Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required
Good communication skills
Ability to multitask
Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, patients and physicians

Preferred

Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
