Responsibilities

Prepares and instructs patients on procedure

Perform echocardiograms, stress echos, and TEEs

Prepares test results for physician reading and interpretation

Assists fellow sonographers with workload when appropriate

Verifies physician order prior to administering test procedure

Effectively interacts with physicians, nurses and other ancillary staff

Intimate knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology and extensive EKG experience

Ensure compliance of all Joint Commission Standards/ ASE/ and the guidelines of the ICAEL
