Responsibilities
Help build and scale Motion’s Android app
Focus on deep native Android development using Kotlin
Emphasis on performance, reliability, and platform-level integrations
Work on making the app fast and responsive at scale
Building features that leverage the Android platform directly
Collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams to ship high-impact mobile features
Qualification
Required
Deep native Android development experience using Kotlin
Strong understanding of performance, reliability, and platform-level integrations
Ability to make the app fast and responsive at scale
Experience building features that leverage the Android platform directly, including voice calling, SMS, notifications, background execution, and home screen widgets
Significant ownership over technical decisions
Ability to collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams
Ambitious and always looking for ways to improve
Ability to take ownership of projects and lead them to completion while dealing with ambiguity
Fast learner who can quickly familiarize with a complex product and code base
Strong understanding of how to create the most impact
Ability to collaborate effectively with other talented engineers
Benefits
Bonus: $0 - $150,000
Total Compensation: $504,000 - $965,000 (includes equity & bonus)
