Vice President, Information Systems
Alura Workforce Solutions is seeking a hands-on IT leader for the role of Vice President, Information Systems. This position involves overseeing information security, IT service management, networking, and systems administration while aligning these functions with the strategic goals of the credit union and supporting major core system conversions.

Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day IT operations across security, help desk/ITSM, infrastructure, networking, and systems administration
Support the organization’s core system conversion efforts by partnering with internal stakeholders and vendors on system planning, readiness, and operational impacts
Participate in core system configuration activities as needed, including supporting setup of tables, parameters, and related operational components in coordination with the project team
Improve IT service delivery by enhancing ticket workflows, resolution times, performance metrics, and end-user satisfaction
Implement and continuously optimize ITIL practices (incident, problem, change, and asset management)
Develop, maintain, and document IT policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring clear written communication and adoption across the organization
Support and expand an employee information security awareness program
Ensure infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure, with strong uptime and performance
Oversee end-user hardware/software deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management
Manage vendors and service providers, including performance, escalations, renewals, and coordination with hosted/cloud service partners
Advise senior leadership on information security and IT operational risks, priorities, and recommendations
Maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans, ensuring they are current and tested at least annually
Ensure backup systems and procedures are maintained and recoverable when needed
Partner cross-functionally to modernize tools and systems that support business needs
Support IT budgeting, forecasting, and short- and long-term technology planning
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce friction for end users
Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve security and operational effectiveness
Lead and develop a high-performing IT team through coaching, support, and change management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent certifications and/or equivalent experience
5+ years of IT management experience (financial institution experience preferred)
Strong hands-on understanding of: Information security, IT help desk / IT operations, Networking and infrastructure, Systems administration
Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear policies and procedures
Hands-on experience with the Correlation (Keystone) credit union core system
Experience working with Westcom Resources Group (WRG) or similar hosted/core service providers
Preferred
Experience supporting core conversions or major enterprise system implementations
Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 (M365) environments
