Responsibilities

Conduct product testing, including viscosity, gloss, hardness, weight per gallon, non-volatile content, cleanliness, adhesion, and paint film properties
Test incoming raw materials to verify compliance with specifications
Document and write batch adjustments for materials outside of specification within approved guidelines
Collaborate with QC, Production leadership, and RDI personnel to troubleshoot and resolve batch performance issues
Prepare pre-shipment samples for customer submission
Participate in 5S initiatives and maintain general laboratory housekeeping standards

Qualification

Laboratory experienceBasic math skillsMS Office proficiencyLift 50 lbsWear breathing apparatus

Required

High school diploma
Basic math skills and computer proficiency in MS Office applications
Ability to stand or walk for the majority of the shift
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to wear a breathing apparatus and pass a fit test

Preferred

Two years of college education
Two years of laboratory experience
