Responsibilities

Assist loan officers in collecting and organizing borrower information and documents for loan applications
Collaborate with borrowers to guide them through the application process, answering questions and providing assistance
Prepare loan files and documentation for underwriting, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Coordinate with processors, underwriters, and other teams to ensure timely progression of loan applications
Communicate with clients, realtors, and other stakeholders to provide updates on loan statuses and gather required information
Assist in reviewing loan files for compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines
Maintain organized records and documentation of loan application activities
Assist in scheduling appointments and managing loan officers' calendars
Stay updated on mortgage industry trends, regulations, and best practices

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in mortgage lending, loan processing, or related roles
Strong understanding of loan origination processes and documentation
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant software applications
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Customer service-oriented mindset
Spanish speaking required for this position

Preferred

Some college coursework is a plus
Familiarity with Encompass or other loan origination systems is a plus
