Lead Paid Search Strategist

Responsibilities
Own paid search strategy and performance across multiple client accounts, ensuring alignment with client business goals and broader media strategies
Plan, develop, and oversee execution of advanced Google and Bing Ads campaigns, including PPC, YouTube, Display, and Shopping
Lead keyword strategy, account structure, bidding approaches, and testing roadmaps to drive efficiency and scale
Monitor and analyze campaign performance, identifying insights, risks, and opportunities, and proactively recommending optimizations
Serve as the paid search subject matter expert on client accounts, leading paid search discussions, contributing to presentations, and explaining performance in clear business terms
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (programmatic, social, analytics, traditional media) to ensure cohesive messaging and media alignment
Mentor and support Paid Search Strategists, including campaign reviews, quality assurance, and knowledge sharing
Establish and uphold paid search best practices, processes, and optimization standards across the team
Stay current with industry trends, platform updates, automation changes, and Google/Bing Ads policies, and assess their impact on client strategies
Utilize advanced Google/Bing Ads features, automation, and measurement solutions to improve campaign effectiveness
Partner with analytics resources to ensure accurate conversion tracking, attribution, and performance measurement
Prepare and review client-facing reports and insights, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and actionability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience managing and scaling Google Ads campaigns, including PPC, YouTube, Display, and Shopping
Proven experience managing multiple, large-scale, complex paid search accounts with clear performance ownership
Strong understanding of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, and attribution concepts
Demonstrated ability to lead strategy, prioritize initiatives, and make data-driven budget and optimization decisions
Experience mentoring or leading other paid media team members in an agency environment
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong attention to detail while maintaining a high-level strategic perspective
Comfortable communicating directly with clients and internal stakeholders
Google Ads certifications: Search, Display, Shopping, Video, Apps
