Responsibilities
Provides day-to-day leadership of a team of design and development engineers
Supports cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Applications, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Quality
Participates in customer meetings and technical discussions as needed, in coordination with other functional leads
Oversees execution of engineering deliverables across new product development and sustaining projects
Ensures effective use of engineering tools, documentation standards, and design controls
Guides project planning, task prioritization, and resource allocation to meet business objectives
Contributes to continuous improvement of design processes and engineering best practices
Supports recruiting, onboarding, and technical development of engineering team members
Promotes a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability
Domestic and occasional international travel required
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
Experience with thermal systems, electromechanical assemblies, or related custom product development
Strong understanding of product development workflows from concept through production
Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and deliver results in a cross-functional environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience supporting customer-facing teams
Proficiency in engineering tools such as CAD and simulation or analysis software
Experience with design for manufacturability, structured problem-solving, and engineering documentation standards
